Definition:
tell someone about something, especially in order to get their opinion or reaction
Examples:
1. I would like to run the plan by my parents before we go any further with it.
2. I wish you had run it by me before planning the whole trip.
3. My boss asked me to run the business plan by her before the meeting.
4. It is very important to run everything by your supervisor before it gets published.
