English Grammar | GERUNDS
gerund
A gerund is sometimes called a verb-noun. A gerund is formed with a base verb + -ing.
Use a gerund when your sentence structure requires a noun (something), but you want to talk about an action.
e.g.1, I love camping. (What do I love?)
e.g.2, He gave up smoking. (What did he give up?)
