unconventional, odd, unusual, not typical
Examples:
1. Have you met my friend, Jon, yet? He’s really off the wall. He has travelled a lot, and he has chosen some of the ways of each country for his lifestyle. The style of his house is from one country, his food is from another country, his clothing is from yet another country, and so on. Visiting him is like taking a trip around the world!
2. My uncle is a little off the wall. He has a crazy sense of humour. We never know what he will do next.
3. Michael Jackson called his album Off the Wall because he wanted to communicate that his music was not conventional. He wanted to say that it was not the same as everybody else’s album.
