(adverb) nevertheless: all the same; even though the previous statement may be true, this is also true
Jo : “You said you didn’t want to buy a new car.”
Cris: “I know I said that, but sometimes I worry that the old car isn’t safe.”
Jo: “But you don’t want to buy a new car.”
Jo: “That’s right. But, still.”
(adverb) up to and including now
I didn’t know you still lived here. I thought you had moved overseas to work.
