(countable noun) the possibility that something bad or unpleasant will happen
1. When we went to a financial advisor, he asked both my husband and I how comfortable we are with risk. My husband enjoys risk; he used to be a mountain climber. I, on the other hand, like things safe.
2. I realize they may be gone by the time we arrive, but I feel as though that is a risk I am willing to take. I really want to see them. If we arrive too late, at least we will know we tried.
