Note: This can be used when you are travelling on foot, by car or bus. It is not used when travelling by plane.
1. I would love to stay longer, but it’s time I hit the road.
2. We plan to hit the road around 7:00 tomorrow morning, so that we can arrive in Banff in time for dinner.
3. I had better hit the road. I have to work in the morning.
