HIT THE ROAD?
(on foot, by car or bus; not used when travelling by plane)
- I would love to stay longer, but it’s time I hit the road.
- We plan to hit the road around 7:00 tomorrow morning, so that we can arrive in Banff in time for dinner.
- I had better hit the road. I have to work in the morning.
