What is the meaning of I HAVE A FEW MINUTES or
I’VE GOT A FEW MINUTES?
If someone says they have a few minutes, they are politely saying that they are busy, but they want to give you some of their time.
It is a tactful way of saying, “I need to keep this conversation short.”
See example: “I’ve got a few minutes.”
