The other day my husband, Gordon, and I went cross-country skiing at the Blackfoot Reserve which is about forty minutes west of Edmonton.
The weather was gorgeous. The sun was bright and when it shone on the clean snow, the snow twinkled and looked like it was filled with sparkling diamonds.
If you live in a hot country, you may not realize that on a sunny day in the winter, you need to wear sunglasses because the snow is so bright!
Anyway, we went skiing, and everything was perfect. Except for one thing. You see, there is a problem. The problem is that Gord is super fit. He is a runner. And I am not super fit. In fact, I am badly out of shape.
